Cookie Policy

1. In short
Ascent uses one cookie, to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we don’t let other companies place cookies through our site. A few display settings (like dark mode) are saved in your own browser so they stay the way you left them.
This policy applies to Ascent’s website and every page of the Ascent platform, including companies’ careers pages and job postings hosted on it. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
2. The cookie we set

Strictly necessary cookies don’t need consent: without this one, signing in isn’t possible. If you never sign in, it’s never set.
3. What we save in your browser
These are kept in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. They never leave your device on their own and aren’t used to identify or follow you.

4. Other services
- Our fonts load from Google Fonts. Like any web request, that sends Google your IP address and browser details; Google Fonts doesn’t set cookies on our site.
- Recruiters who subscribe pay on Stripe’s own checkout page, where Stripe’s cookies and privacy policy apply.
- Links to other sites (such as Calendly, LinkedIn or GoFundMe) follow those sites’ own cookie policies once you visit them.
5. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser’s settings. Blocking the session cookie means you won’t be able to sign in; clearing local storage resets your display settings.
If we ever add optional cookies, such as analytics, we’ll ask first, and they’ll stay off unless you turn them on.
